What is Cape Cod SCORE? Cape Cod SCORE is one of 389 chapters of the SCORE Association, whose 10,500 volunteer members throughout the U.S. are recognized as “Counselors to America’s Small Business.” The 35 volunteer business professionals of Cape Cod SCORE offer:
- Free and Confidential Business Advice to Existing and Start-up Companies.
- Series of seven week “Successful Small Business Management" training workshops on a regular basis throughout the Cape and Islands and in Fall River.
As a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration, SCORE’s mission is to maximize the success of new and growing small businesses. Since 1964, SCORE has assisted more than 7.2 million aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners through counseling and business workshops.

How do Cape Cod SCORE Counselors work with your business?Make an appointment for Business Counseling and you get:
- Free Counseling for as long as your business requires.
- The Expertise of Two Counselors - “Two Heads are better than One.” To give you objective feed-back and guidance for your business.
- One Hour Counseling Sessions - organized for Counselors to learn about your business, your goals and your plans. The first session works best when you bring with you examples of what you want to discuss: products, brochures, financial statements.
- Based on your needs, Counselors will guide you with the next steps to develop your business. You will gain confidence in your business decisions with each successive counseling session.
 You have the opportunity to create a Long-Term Mentoring Relationship with your SCORE Counselors.

Where and How do you Schedule Counseling?
- On Cape Cod, counseling is conducted, by appointment, at our Hyannis office Monday through Friday, from 9am to 1pm. To schedule counseling for your business, please call 508-775-4884 or Email for an appointment
- If you are in business and are not able to come to Hyannis, special arrangements can be made to send a Counselor to your business.
- On Martha’s Vineyard, where there are seven Counselors ready to assist you, Counseling is conducted on a one-on-one basis. For appointments, call: 508-696-9687 or Email: mvscore@verizon.net.
- For Nantucket, we are actively looking for well qualified Counselors. If you need Business Assistance or are interested to become a Counselor, we encourage you to call or Email the Cape Cod SCORE office in Hyannis.
